The New York Times calls it “…one of the best Fourth of July parties.” What makes The Patriots Point 4th of July Blast so special and worthy of praise from the New York Times? For starters, our famous Flight Deck Fireworks. Where else in the southeastern USA can you see fireworks launched from the flight deck of a WWII aircraft carrier? The USS Yorktown! The Patriots Point 4th of July Blast begins with discounted admission to the museum from 5-7pm where guests can tour the USS Yorktown, USS Clamagore, Medal of Honor Museum, Vietnam Base Camp and Cold War Submarine Memorial. Back on the mainland, this family-friendly event continues with sandwiches, snacks, water and sodas available for purchase while guests enjoy live entertainment. Finally, at night fall, all eyes are on the biggest star of the evening… the world famous aircraft carrier USS Yorktown where dazzling fireworks are launched from the carrier’s flight deck – truly a sight to behold!
