What camera do you need to choose for fireworks photography?
There are dozens of cameras options! For fireworks photography you want to be able to control the shutter speed. Look for cameras that have the option for bulb mode. That mode allows you open and hold open the shutter for an amount of time you determine. Most DSLR cameras will have this option, but be sure to check.
In point and shoot models you can find some with the bulb mode. Others will have a fireworks mode. This mode will allow you to have slower shutter speeds, but not quite the control of bulb.
My family has 3 cameras. All three have been used in fireworks photography, and all three produce great images!
