Fireworks at Hagley Museum

Written by at June 3, 2012

Mark your calendars for the 2004 edition of Fireworks at Hagley entitled “Visit America the Beautiful,” scheduled for Fridays, June 11 and 18, 2004. Tickets are available to museum members, corporate members, and their guests only, and invitations will be mailed by late April. For the past several years both shows have sold out so a prompt response to the invitation is strongly encouraged.

Hagley’s annual fireworks program is a full evening of family entertainment from the time the Buck Road East gates open at 5 p.m. to the finale of fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The Rhythm Doctors begin their concert at 7:30 p.m. each of the evenings. Plan to bring a picnic, or enjoy the carnival fare or gourmet selections available on the grounds. The raffle booth will present the opportunity to win prizes donated by area merchants. Several Hagley Store booths will carry a variety of fireworks specialty items. For younger guests, there is Kid Central. Open from 6 to 8 p.m., this play area features a bounce-around, face painting, and music for dancing.

Ticket prices are $30 for adults and $12 for children fourteen and under. Every four adult tickets purchased comes with one complimentary car pass. Additional car passes can be purchased for $35. Each person attending fireworks must have a ticket, including infants. All vehicles entering the Buck Road gates must have a car pass in order to be admitted. For questions about membership levels and the corresponding number of tickets and car passes that can be purchased, contact the membership office weekdays at (302) 658-2400, ext. 235.

As always, rain dates are the following Saturday and Sunday evenings (June 12, 13 and June 19, 20, 2004). The weather for the entire weekend is taken into account before deciding on a rain date. Tickets are not refundable when the event is held on a rain date. Please plan accordingly.

Fireworks at Hagley is sponsored by The Wilmington Trust Company.
